This is - hands down - my favorite salad. The beets are always roasted to perfection and all the elements work together so well for something that is fresh and savory and a perfect way to start dinner. I have no notes!

I just returned from a 10-day business trip through the UK and Europe and took my son to Ember & Iron for dinner tonight. After eating out for nearly two weeks, I certainly wasn't expecting my first meal back to be the one I'd remember most—but it was. I started with the smoked Old Fashioned, followed by the seared snapper with red curry and rice, and finished with an affogato. Every course somehow managed to top the one before it. The snapper was absolutely incredible—the crispy skin, perfectly cooked fish, and red curry were an amazing combination. I genuinely can't remember having a better meal. What made the evening even better was the service. Our server, Nina, was an absolute delight—warm, attentive, and a perfect complement to an already exceptional dinner. From the first sip of my cocktail to the last spoonful of affogato, the entire experience was flawless. After ten days of traveling, it was exactly the kind of meal I didn't know I needed, and getting to enjoy it with my son made it even more memorable. Ember & Iron absolutely knocked it out of the park. We'll be back.

I've never liked salmon… turns out I was just being served bad fish! My friend got the salmon at Ember and Iton and made me try it. I've ordered it every time I go since! It is so delicious and flavorful! When I'm in the mood for salmon, or a great cocktail, I go to Ember!
