WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Ember & Iron is looking for optimistic servers to join our team in producing an approachable, hospitable, and warm dining experience. We are searching for fun, charismatic, and engaging servers that can proactively take cues from their guests to gauge their level of happiness. Servers will respond to situations quickly and gracefully, and be able to address any potential hiccups in a guest’s experience. Servers are ambassadors for E&I, teaching the guests of our live fire techniques, guiding them through our unique menu and providing a one of a kind experience.

General Manager

THE OPPORTUNITY: General Manager 


Staff and Operations: 

Define and execute operating goals, objectives, procedures, and improvements 

Oversee life-cycle of restaurant staffing and employment brand (recruiting, onboarding, training, development) 

Design and monitor staff schedules 

Establish and assimilate best practices and performance standards for restaurant staff 

Monitor adherence to health and hygiene standards throughout restaurant 


Administrative: 

Maintain business records (health and safety practices, employee/HR files, invoicing, etc.) Oversee cash management procedures, ensuring accuracy and precision 

Ensure alcohol regulations are adhered to 

Prepare, analyze, and present management and performance reports 


Financials and Profitability: 

Reconcile daily sales and restaurant receipts 

Define and monitor budgets, analyzing variances and implementing corrective action 

Protect restaurant profitability through establishment of financial controls and implementation of cost cutting measures 

Analyze food and beverage costs and assign menu prices  

Develop relationships with preferred vendors and suppliers, negotiating purchase prices, contracts, etc. 


Brand: 

Create remarkable experiences for guests 

Serve as menu expert, advising customers on food and beverage choices 

Organize and supervise marketing and promotional activities 

Identify and evaluate competitors 

Keep current with trends in the restaurant industry 



WHO YOU ARE: 

  • Experienced leader with proven passions in the food and beverage industry 

  • Customer-centric problem-solver with a spirit of innovation and flexibility 

  • Previous results in staff management and organizational development Equipped to manage inventory, cost control, and vendor relationships 

  • Familiar with profitability analysis, basic accounting skills, and financial forecasting

Dish Washer/Prep Cook

Line Cook

The ideal candidate must be able to follow recipes and standards, while maintaining a clean and organized work space, food quality and a professional and positive attitude. Multi-tasking and staying calm in potential, high-pressure situations is a must, as is quick problem solving and proactivity. We want our culinary team to uphold a high standard of food quality and professionalism. Our culinary team strives to get better every day, so cooks need to have a goal oriented mindset.

Host

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Ember & Iron is looking for hosts to brighten the entryway as guests arrive. This host gives guests their first dose of our hospitable charm upon entering, so we want it to make an impression! He/she should boast a positive attitude and naturally curious personality with an ability to work as a team player. The Host should also be able to take cues from guests’ behavior to ensure an extraordinary experience. Our hosts will crosstrain as servers to be able to manage to-go orders efficiently and professionally. Menu knowledge will be required. Related food and beverage experience preferred.

Busser/Bar Back

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Ember & Iron is searching for Busser/Bar Backs that are optimistic and radiate a team mentality. The Busser/Bar Backs will clear tables, reset tables, restock the bar, and assist in keeping dining areas tidy and sanitized. Previous restaurant experience preferred.

Food Runner

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Ember & Iron is looking for food runners that are passionate about the timing and delivery of quality food. Food runners will deliver food swiftly to the appropriate tables and will assist the service team as needed.
